Can you really remove all my unwanted body hair?
Yes. South Coast MedSpa lasers can safely and effectively remove hair from your face, back, arms, bikini line, and legs. With our “Full Body Laser Hair Removal” package you can have several full body hair removal sessions for one low price, saving you thousands of dollars over the price of having laser treatments one area at a time.
How long will it take to have all my body hair removed?
The length of a laser hair removal treatment may last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more depending on the size of the areas being treated. Generally, a series of treatments are required to completely remove the hair from the entire body.
How much recovery time do I need after each treatment?
There is NO downtime with SCMS laser hair removal.
Because South Coast MedSpa uses the gold standard of lasers in removing hair, you will experience very little discomfort and should be able to resume most activities immediately after your treatment.
Do I need to stop shaving my legs or underarms before treatment?
No. The laser targets the follicle, which lies underneath the skin, so you may continue shaving. If you bleach or use depilatories, we recommend that you discontinue use before body hair removal treatment, but it is not absolutely necessary.
Is it safe for me to have laser hair removal if I have darker skin?
In the early days of laser hair technology, the laser often had trouble differentiating between pigment in the skin and that in the hair. AtSouth Coast MedSpa, we use only the lasers that are able to pinpoint hair follicles with precision, allowing dark-skinned patients and those with tans to safely have their hair removed without side effects such as skin blotches.
How much pain can I expect with permanent laser hair removal?
Our patients experience little to no discomfort. Before treatment begins, we apply a topical anesthetic cream to numb the area. Ourlasers also have cooling heads, which direct cold air to the treated area, minimizing discomfort. Most patients find that laser hair removal is much less painful than electrolysis or waxing.
I’d love to have laser hair removal, but I’m not sure I can afford it.
Laser hair removal is permanent. You’ll probably spend less overall than you would if you had repeated electrolysis treatments.
South Coast MedSpa also offers our Trademark Full Body Laser Hair Removal Package for one low fee, saving patients thousands of dollars on the amount you would spend if you treated one area at a time.

Is it really permanent? How much regrowth can I expect?
The Lumenis® lasers we use at South Coast MedSpa are the gold standard in the industry. However, no laser treatment is guaranteed to remove absolutely every hair on the body.
The FDA defines permanent hair reduction as achieving 85% or greater elimination. Generally, the laser disables most of the remaining hair follicles to such a degree that only fine, light colored hair returns.
