How is the laser hair removal treatment more effective without numbing cream?
A gentle vacuum suction draws skin into hand piece: dermis is stretched thin; hair follicle is pulled closer to the energy source. The traditional laser hair removal diode was reliant on sending the laser energy through the tissue, but this new version eliminates that old process which brings the follicle closer to the laser light energy. The fact that the hair's root follicle is much closer to the laser light energy allows for faster and more efficient absorption. This faster absorption also allows for more heat conversion and gives the best laser hair removal result.
Melanocytes (a pigment-producing cell in the skin and hair that has color) are stretched apart making them thinner and blood flow is constricted. Because blood is constricted the patient does not feel the additional discomfort associated with energy absorption by blood cells. The laser light energy is then applied.
