Reveal Your Forever Young Skin

BBL (BroadBand Light) is a non-invasive, light-based skin treatment that uses advanced technology to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. With the Forever Young BBL system, gentle light therapy penetrates the skin to target and destroy damaged cells responsible for aging, sun damage, acne, redness, and pigmentation. Recent clinical studies, including research by Stanford University, have shown that BBL can stimulate the production of young skin cells, a process that normally only takes place in children! BBL is suitable for all ages and most skin types and requires no downtime.

BBL (BroadBand Light) Corrects:

  • Sun damage, such as brown spots, freckles, and uneven skin tone and texture
  • Age spots, also known as liver spots or solar lentigines
  • Redness and vascular lesions, such as broken blood vessels, spider veins, and rosacea
  • Acne, including active pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and hyperpigmentation
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dullness and uneven skin texture
  • Unwanted hair growth
  • Skin laxity and sagging
  • Blemishes and scars

The Science Behind BBL (BroadBand Light)

BBL uses a precise range of wavelengths in the visible and infrared spectrum to target specific chromophores, or pigments, in the skin. These chromophores absorb the light energy and convert it into heat, selectively damaging the targeted cells while leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed.

The damaged cells trigger a natural healing response, which involves the production of new collagen, elastin, and skin cells. This process leads to a reduction in pigmentation, redness, and other signs of damage.

Your Complete BBL (BroadBand Light) Experience

Preparation
Before your BBL treatment, you should avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks and stop using retinoids and other topical agents that may sensitize your skin. You should also inform your provider about any medical conditions, medications, or allergies that may affect your treatment. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid makeup or moisturizers in the treatment area during the session.

Treatment
During the BBL session, you wear protective goggles to shield your eyes from light flashes. Your provider will apply a cooling gel to the treatment area and use a handheld device to deliver the light pulses. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation, but the treatment should not be painful. The session may take 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and number of treatment areas.

Side Effects
The side effects of BBL are generally mild and temporary. You may experience some redness, swelling, or itching in the treatment area, which should subside within a few hours. Some people may develop mild bruising or blistering, but these are rare.

Recovery
BBL has no downtime; you can return to your regular activities immediately after the session. However, you should avoid direct sun exposure and strenuous exercise for a few days and use sunscreen and moisturizers as recommended by your provider.

Results
You may start seeing BBL (BroadBand Light) treatment results within a few days to a few weeks after the session. The full benefits may take several months to appear as your skin regenerates and produces collagen. The results can last several months to years, depending on your skin condition, age, and lifestyle factors.

Frequency
The number of BBL treatments you need for optimal results depends on your skin condition and goals, but most people require three to six sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. You may also need periodic maintenance treatments every six to 12 months to sustain the benefits.
