Reveal Your Youthful Glow

Dysport is an FDA-approved injectable neurotoxin that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions, also known as dynamic wrinkles. It works by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for wrinkles, giving the skin a smoother and more youthful appearance. Dysport is commonly used to treat forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows. With minimal discomfort and no downtime, Dysport provides a quick and effective solution to combat the signs of aging.

Dysport Corrects:

  • Forehead wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet
  • Frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Bunny lines on the nose
  • Chin dimpling
  • Neck wrinkles
  • Gummy smile

The Science Behind Dysport

Dysport is made from a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin that targets the nerve-muscle junction to relax the underlying muscles that cause wrinkles. When injected into the targeted area, Dysport blocks the release of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine, which normally signals muscles to contract.

This causes the muscle to relax, smoothing out wrinkles and preventing the formation of new ones. Dysport results typically last three to six months before requiring maintenance treatment.

Benefits of Dysport:

  • Smoothes wrinkles and fine lines
  • Restores a more youthful appearance
  • Quick, in-office treatment with no downtime
  • Results can last up to six months
  • Minimal discomfort during treatment
  • Can be used preventatively to slow the formation of wrinkles
  • Can be tailored to each patient’s individual needs and desired results

Your Complete Dysport Experience

Before your Dysport treatment, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for at least a week to minimize the risk of bruising. Refrain from alcohol consumption and smoking 24 hours before the procedure. Discuss any medical conditions or concerns with your practitioner, and come to your appointment with a clean, makeup-free face for optimal injection placement.

During your Dysport session, your practitioner will assess the targeted areas and use a fine needle to inject the product into the muscle. You may feel a slight pinch or pressure, but the treatment is generally well-tolerated. The procedure typically takes 15-20 minutes, and you can return to your normal activities immediately after with no downtime.

Side Effects
Like any medical treatment, Dysport can cause side effects. Common side effects include mild pain, swelling, redness at the injection site, headaches, and temporary drooping of the eyelid. These mild and temporary effects resolve within a few days to weeks.

Dysport requires no downtime or recovery, so you can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. However, it’s recommended to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, and excessive sun exposure for 24 hours following the procedure.

It may take a few days for the results of Dysport to fully appear, with optimal results visible after two weeks. The effects of Dysport typically last between three to six months, depending on the treatment area and individual factors. Regular maintenance can prolong the results.

To maintain the best results, follow-up treatments are recommended every three to six months. Your practitioner will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs and desired outcomes. Regular treatments can slow the formation of new wrinkles and maintain a youthful appearance.
